Za ženu má Lois, která udržuje domácnost ve vyjetých kolejích. Bydlí s nimi i jejich děti a to je Meg, které je už 16 let a na škole patří i přes veškerou svou snahu mezi největší outsidery. 13ti letý Chris je zmenšená verze svého tatínka. Takže taky tlustý a přihlouplý. Nejmladší Stewie je naopak nesmírně inteligentní a už od svého 1. roku mluví a spřádá plány na to jak ovládnout svět. Další výraznou postavou je mluvící pes Brian, který trousí moudra kudy chodí, protože vystudoval Brown University. V seriálu se objeví i spousta dalších osobností, ze kterých si tvůrci utahují, ale najdeme tu i postavičky z konkurenčních seriálů, které se stali obětmi parodie.

Some of the episodes were aimed at children, and were called Фитилёк, Fitilyok, Little Fuse. Each issue contained from the few short segments: documentary, fictional and animated ones. Directed by various artists, including Leonid Gaidai who presented his famous trio of Nikulin, Vitsin and Morgunov into the cast. It was called in USSR as "the anecdotes from the Soviet government".
