Tekken 3 is a fighting game and the third installment in the Tekken series, released in arcades in March 1997 and for the PlayStation in 1998. It was the first game to use Namco System 12 hardware, with the original two Tekken games using System 11. The game introduced a largely new cast of characters, including Jin Kazama, Ling Xiaoyu, Julia Chang, and Hwoarang, bringing the total roster to twenty-three characters. The home version added a new beat 'em up mode, Tekken Force, and a bonus mode called Tekken Ball. Tekken 3 is considered one of the greatest games of all time, selling over 8.5 million copies worldwide, making it the second best-selling fighting game and the fourth best-selling PlayStation game.
