A few years after the most desperate struggle in human history began, the focus of that conflict shifted to the Mediterranean. The Pan-Asian Coalition (PAC) took the opportunity to claim the unprotected natural resources under the ice of mainland Europe for itself. Until the EU had taken notice of the PAC's presence, it was able to entrench itself deep in the continent's rough ice fields between abandoned city ruins and towering mountain peaks. Only bitter hand-to-hand combat in claustrophobic street canyons and rocky bottlenecks will drive the PAC troops from their well-fortified positions and push them back towards the sea.
