The story begins in an innocent way. Emily and Oliver - a married couple of intellectuals, once wealthy due to financial difficulties move from the capital to a poor neighborhood of a provincial town. One evening they meet their neighbors Alan and Dawn Oplawskaya) - a married couple from the neighborhood, who are all different from them.
