A TALENTED LONDON-BASED ARTIST, Michael Stephenson, discovers YouTube as it is still a new medium. Working early-morning shifts as a postman for the Royal Mail, he dreams of viral stardom, uploading his creative output and personal outpourings to his channel. However, when these hopes for mainstream recognition are painfully dashed, he finds answers in the world of online activism whose emergence no one would have predicted: the movement known as "GamerGate", led by the figure known as "Sargon of Akkad".
