The film tells the story of Ekrem, who falls in love with the girl he married for money. Ekrem is a young and handsome man who works in the factory of Hulusi Bey, a factory owner. Hulusi Bey's daughter Filiz is in love with Ekrem. Doctors diagnose Filiz with a heart condition and give her a year to live. Hulusi Bey wants his daughter to be happy in her final days. To this end, he offers Ekrem a partnership in his factory, but on the condition that he marries his daughter Filiz. Ekrem initially accepts the offer out of greed for money.
